Equipment Needs
Many of the children and young adults enrolled in our year-round, educational/therapeutic programs experience multiple physical and social-emotional disabilities, disorders, and medical diagnoses. Our goal is to work with parents, medical professionals, home school districts, and others to design and implement a program unique to the needs of each individual. Most individualized programs involve physical, occupational, and speech therapies and evaluations; vision screenings; audiological (hearing) tests; mobility assistance; and nursing services, all requiring a great deal of specialized equipment. Ongoing needs include standers, classroom seating, wheelchairs, and communication devices, which must be available in good repair and sufficient number to accommodate an ever-changing population of children.
