Library and Family Resource Center
Meeting Street’s prominently located Library and Family Resource Center offer thousands of books, magazines, journals, and online resources, in addition to accessible computers, printers, communication devices, a Smart Board, and other equipment. These materials, managed by a certified school librarian, not only supplement the curriculum to help children realize their educational and developmental goals, but they also offer parents and local professionals new opportunities to research medical conditions and treatment options. Support from corporations, foundations, and other organizations will keep the collection and the technology current while also supporting special library programs, such as the Science Fair and artists’ residencies.
Funds are needed to provide children developmentally appropriate books, videos, and software while providing parents, staff, and community partners with the most up-to-date treatment, medical, and research information.
