The Rebecca Alma Kalish Fund
The Rebecca Alma Kalish Fund was established in 2005 to support the work of our Early Intervention specialists. The Fund was created by Rebecca’s parents, Cantor Judith Seplowin and Mark Kalish, in loving memory of their daughter Rebecca who received services from Meeting Street’s Early Intervention team prior to her unexpected and profoundly sad passing in June 2005.
The following thoughts were lovingly written by Rebecca’s case supervisor and delivered as a moving tribute during a memorial service at Meeting Street in May, 2007; “Rebecca was present in the moment, able to enjoy her life despite its limitations. Even in her last hours, I remember smoothing her soft brown curls as she slept, never again to awaken. She lived her life to the fullest every minute, and though it was much too short, it was filled with love and contentment for those she knew and appreciated! To the end, little Rebecca gave more to this world than she took from it, and her presence will never be forgotten!”
