Bright Futures Early Learning Center
Enrollment
We invite you to take a tour and learn more about the program and whether it is the right one for your child. Please contact Casey Ferrara (401) 533-9252 and request a tour.
Following a visit and discussion with Bright Futures staff, you can then complete an application for enrollment with a non-refundable deposit. Depending on the age of your child, there may or may not be a waiting list for your child's classroom. Full or part-time slots (M/W/F and T/Th) are available for infants and toddlers and full time slots are available for preschoolers.
For children with IEPs (ages 3 to 5)
In order for your child with special needs to enroll in Bright Futures, you need to have a referral from your school district. This referral takes place after the district's special education department has determined that your child has a disability and that you and the school district agree that Bright Futures is the most appropriate placement for your child. During this time, you are encouraged to take a tour of Bright Futures to see the program for yourself and to meet with our staff so that we can all agree that Bright Futures is the most appropriate program for your child.

Parents and guardians of children with IEPs should work with their school departments to determine eligibility for Bright Futures Early Learning Center services.
Transportation
If your child has special needs and has been referred to Meeting Street by your school district, then your school district is obligated to provide transportation to and from Bright Futures. Families are otherwise responsible for transporting your child to and from Bright Futures.
Preparing your child for school
Preparation depends on the age of the child. Generally, parents should talk to their child about going to daycare or school. This can include reading books about going to school to introduce your child to school. Finally, it is ideal to start your child at school when a parent can stay, at least once, for a block of time. This is true especially for toddlers and other children who have never been to school before.
