Pediatric Outpatient Therapy
Meeting Street provides therapy to more than 500 children annually through our full-service Pediatric Outpatient Therapy program. Doctors, teachers, school districts, family members, and other sources recommend Meeting Street because of the expertise of our staff, the quality of our treatment plans, and our state-of-the-art therapeutic equipment and facilities. We see each child as an individual with unique strengths, challenges, promise and possibility. We are committed to helping every child reach his or her full potential.
At Meeting Street, we understand that every child has unique abilities, challenges, learning styles, and motivations. We work with each child and his or her family to determine the most appropriate treatment program, including the type and frequency of treatment. We also take the time to get to know the child so our approach meets his or her specific needs and personality. Meeting Street therapists can help children with a wide range of developmental challenges or limitations due to injury or disease. Some children work with a single therapist; others benefit most from a team approach including therapists with different types of expertise. In all cases, family involvement is critical.
Meeting Street Therapy Expertise
Meeting Street therapists are skilled at providing evaluations, diagnoses, and effective treatment plans. We work with parents and caregivers to ensure they get the information and support they need to help their child thrive. When appropriate, we work with a child’s school to coordinate goals and strategies. Therapy is available in individual sessions or in our therapy groups. Our therapists provide input on the appropriate therapy setting for each child. Children who receive therapy at Meeting Street benefit from our innovative therapeutic techniques and equipment, audiology and vision clinics, sensory integration therapy gyms, full-sized gymnasium, and the Meeting Street therapeutic pool.
