Olneyville Early Childhood Initiative

A community focused initiative for school readiness

The goal of Meeting Street's Early Childhood Initiative in Olneyville is to prepare children in the Olneyville community to enter school healthy and ready to learn. Families in the Olneyville Initiative are enrolled in one of Meeting Street’s home visiting programs and receive a wide range of services appropriate for each family’s needs. These services can include child health screenings and assessments, early education, therapeutic services, nutritional counseling, mental health support, prenatal education and access to social services.

Meeting Street also runs a summer kindergarten preparation for any child in Olneyville who is eligible to start kindergarten in the fall. In that program, children learn the skills they need to successfully start kindergarten and families learn how to best support their child as they prepare to enter school.

More information about the enrollment for the summer program (June - August) coming soon. Families must live in Olneyville with child enrolling in kindergarten in September. For more information please call 401-533-9104.
