What is WIC?

WIC - or the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children - provides nutritional assistance and 1:1 counseling to ensure healthy starts for children. This includes:

  • Nutritional assessments and coaching
  • Referrals to medical and social services within the community
  • Support from Breastfeeding Peer Counselors. We also assist in obtaining free electric breast pumps
  • Benefits for healthy foods, based on the clients' nutritional needs

  • Infants and Children Up to 5 Years of Age
  • Postpartum Women
