What is Healthy Families America?
An evidence-based, home visiting program that pairs expectant mothers, or families with newborns younger than two weeks old, with a Family Support Worker to assist families on their pathway to self-sufficiency.

Promote and strengthen positive parent-child relationships

Build family strengths through the promotion of protective factors

Identify the needs of the family
Provide the support needed to achieve personal goals
Support the development of positive attitudes toward motherhood
Increase knowledge of their child's development
Improve family health
How You Can Help Future Mothers
Anyone may refer a pregnant woman or family with a newborn to Healthy Families America. Referrals are taken from:
Healthcare and Social Service Providers, including WIC, (if they think an expectant mother would benefit from home visiting)
Families (self-referrals or family member referrals)
